His beautifully ironic and emotive pop songs “could make even an Erasure or WHAM! hater dance” (The Fader).
Featured on Spotify’s Alternative Pride playlist, alongside Christine and the Queens and Frank Ocean, the Rhumba Club is described by Notion as a cross between the Rhythm Method and WHAM!. One of his latest singles, “Normativity” was praised by The Line of Best Fit as an “empowering and emotive pop masterpiece”. His 2020 track, “Pocket Machine” was described as “the perfect lockdown banger” by GQ Magazine and his most recent, ‘The Rhumba Club Is Waiting For Me’ made Track of the Day on CLASH and Track of the Week on BBC Introducing.
