San Francisco, CA – Sequential has announced the discontinuation of the Prophet X hybrid synthesizer, a popular instrument known for its blend of warm analog synthesis and versatile sampling capabilities. Launched in 2018, the Prophet X has been a staple in the creative arsenals of countless musicians and sound designers.
“Since its debut, the Prophet X has enjoyed a passionate following from our customers,” said David Gibbons, CEO of Sequential. “Unfortunately, some key components are no longer available and so we are unable to continue production.”
While production of new Prophet X units will soon cease, Sequential maintains a stock of spares to keep existing customers in operation well into the future. Additionally, Sequential’s sound development partners on the Prophet X, 8Dio, plans to continue to offer a wide range of PX Add-On sample packs, expanding the sonic possibilities for Prophet X owners.
