Sequential is excited to announce that the Prophet-6 Module is now shipping! The first units have left our manufacturing facility in San Francisco and have begun arriving at dealers.
The Prophet-6 desktop module is just as powerful and easy to use as its counterpart, the Prophet-6 Keyboard. It has all of the same controls as the keyboard version and provides the same immediacy and ease of use, with absolutely no menu diving. We’ve also added a poly chain feature so that any two Prophet-6s can be paired for twelve-voice polyphony.
Both the Prophet-6 module and keyboard take the best qualities of the original Prophet-5 — true voltage-controlled oscillators, filters, and amplifiers — and add enhancements that the original never had, such as stereo outputs, velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, dual digital effects, a high-pass filter, a polyphonic step sequencer, an arpeggiator, and of course, MIDI. The result is an instrument vintage analog tone and the stability and reliability of a state-of-the-art modern synth.
The Prophet-6 desktop module has a MAP of $2,199 USD and is available through Sequential’s worldwide network of authorized dealers.
